Knight of Columbus

(Fourth Degree – Assembly 4015)

The Knights of Columbus is a global Catholic fraternal organization dedicated to charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. The Fourth Degree emphasizes patriotism, responsible citizenship, and the defense of our nation’s moral and religious values, with a special focus on honoring and supporting military personnel, veterans, and first responders.

Rooted in our shared Catholic faith, our diverse brotherhood unites as one Church to strengthen and grow the Body of Christ

Fraternity

We foster a brotherhood rooted in Christ, inspiring one another to grow in holiness, faith, and virtue

Patriotism

Emphasizes patriotism by defending our nation’s moral and religious values and promoting responsible citizenship.

Blessed Michael McGivney

(Our Founder)

Michael J. McGivney was born on August 12, 1852, in Waterbury, Connecticut, to Irish immigrant parents. Despite growing up amid poverty, anti-Catholic prejudice, and personal hardship, he developed a deep faith and dedication to God. Ordained a Catholic priest in 1877, he founded the Knights of Columbus in 1882 to strengthen the faith of Catholic men and provide financial support for widows and families in need. He died in 1890 at the age of 38. His cause for sainthood advanced over the years: he was declared Venerable in 2008, and after a miracle attributed to his intercession was approved, he was beatified on October 31, 2020. One more approved miracle is required for his canonization as a saint.

What We Do?

(Faith in Action. Patriotism in Service)

Our mission goes beyond the uniform. We stand in honor of our faith, support our veterans and active military personnel, assist military families, and serve those in need. Through our assemblies, we bring the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism to life.

Honor and Protect Our Faith

We support our parishes, assist at Church celebrations, participate in Eucharistic Adoration, and serve as honor guards at sacred and civic occasions.

Support Veterans, First Responders and Military Families

We honor those who have served our country and work to support veterans, active-duty service members, military chaplains, and their families

Serve Our Communities

We organize charitable initiatives, support families in need, and participate in projects that promote human dignity, Catholic values, and responsible citizenship

Build a Brotherhood of Catholic Patriots

We unite Catholic men who desire to deepen their faith, strengthen their brotherhood, and live their patriotism through meaningful service.
